Volleyball Recap: Silver Lake Finds Home Court Redemption Against Ainsworth

There's no place like home for Silver Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Ainsworth Bulldogs 2-1.

Silver Lake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-10, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Ainsworth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lily Beel had 22 digs. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Beel.

The victory got Silver Lake back to even at 2-2. As for Ainsworth, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Silver Lake will be playing at home against Grand Island Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ainsworth, they will venture away from home to challenge Ord at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
