Volleyball Recap: Baldwin County Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Baldwin County kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Faith Academy Rams, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Baldwin County was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 25-16.

Sadie Wiggins paced Baldwin County's offense, picking up four kills. Wiggins also shared the team's lead in assists with Marissa Anderson: they picked up five each. Wiggins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Faith Academy found their leader in sophomore Kyleigh Grosz, who had 16 digs and three aces.

Coming up, Baldwin County will host Orange Beach at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against George County on the 22nd.
