Basketball Game Preview: Cape Elizabeth Capers vs. Leavitt Hornets

The Cape Elizabeth Capers and the Leavitt Hornets will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Cape Elizabeth is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Mountain Valley 70-19 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Capers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Leavitt, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 55-39 win over Winslow on Saturday.

Leavitt's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Cape Elizabeth, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Cape Elizabeth didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Leavitt when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. Will Cape Elizabeth repeat their success, or does Leavitt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
