Volleyball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lebanon Trail on Tuesday, Independence came back down to earth. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Centennial Titans on Friday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Independence took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-21.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Independence is set to face off against their familiar foe Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Centennial will take on rival Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
