Basketball Game Preview: Whitehaven Tigers vs. West Creek Coyote

The Whitehaven Tigers and the West Creek Coyote will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Whitehaven is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Houston, who was ranked fifth at the time (Whitehaven was ranked seventh). Whitehaven took a 74-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston on Saturday.

Meanwhile, West Creek waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 68-48 victory. The Coyote have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

West Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Whitehaven, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
