            Softball Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs vs. Centennial Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Mahomet-Seymour was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Centennial Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by  exactly two  runs.
  Madi White made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. She also  hit a  double, marking her first of the season.
Mahomet-Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Centennial, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 3-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mahomet-Seymour will venture away from home to  challenge Normal University  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Centennial, they will head out to  face off against Villa Grove  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.4  runs per game this season.
