Softball Recap: Murrieta Mesa Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Murrieta Mesa entered their tilt with Great Oak on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolfpack an 8-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 13-0 win on Tuesday.

Tatum Wolff made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Duncan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Gracy Zamora, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
