Baseball Recap: Erie Comes Up Short

Erie lost against General McLane back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Royals took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron Barnes was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Nuber, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for General McLane, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Erie will square off against rival Cathedral Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, General McLane is set to face off against their familiar foe Central Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
