Innovation Academy takes loss despite strong efforts from Derrick Twum and Jayden Ogbeide

The Innovation Academy The Red Tailed Hawk pushed their score all the way to 68 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Academy of Notre Dame. Innovation Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jayden Ogbeide and Derrick Twum certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Ogbeide dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Twum scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 36.8% of Innovation Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ayden Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Innovation Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Academy of Notre Dame, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Innovation Academy will head out on the road to take on Cristo Rey at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Academy of Notre Dame, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Collegiate Charter School of Lowell at 5:45 p.m. on January 30th.
