Ardrey Kell faced Marvin Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Knights put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 3-0 win. The Knights were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mavericks, so the Knights were just returning the favor.

While Ardrey Kell won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-21.

Noah Milich paced Ardrey Kell's offense, picking up ten kills. Milich got some help from Jackson Blauer and his 32 assists.

Ardrey Kell pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Marvin Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
