Recap: Saratoga Panthers vs. Meeteetse Longhorns
The Saratoga Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 54-19 win over Meeteetse. That 54-19 margin sets a new team best for Saratoga this season.
Despite the loss, Meeteetse still got an impressive performance from Kayla Horsen, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The match was Horsen's third in a row with at least ten points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Meeteetse struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The win got Saratoga back to even at 2-2. As for Meeteetse, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Saratoga is on the road again on Friday and play against Rocky Mountain at 12:00 p.m. on December 15th. Rocky Mountain is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.6 points per game. Meeteetse won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Upton at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Upton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meeteetse in Wyoming (Upton is ranked 13th, while Meeteetse is ranked 65th).
