Preview: South Park Eagles vs. West Mifflin Titans
The South Park Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Mifflin Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
After a string of three wins, South Park's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to McGuffey at home by a decisive 31-14 margin.
Meanwhile, West Mifflin put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hopewell 42-7 at home. Given West Mifflin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Hopewell is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Park's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for West Mifflin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
South Park was able to grind out a solid win over West Mifflin in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, winning 21-14. Does South Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Mifflin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
