Softball Recap: Clarke County Bulldogs vs. Jackson Aggies
If Clarke County was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Chickasaw last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 14-7 to the Jackson Aggies on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Emma Jackson stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckensy Bentley, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Clarke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jackson, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.
Coming up, Clarke County will head out on the road to square off against Fruitdale at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they have already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against West Morgan on the 4th.
