Basketball Recap: ALA - Gilbert North Eagles vs. Prescott Badgers
ALA - Gilbert North and Prescott squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but ALA - Gilbert North had to settle for second. They fell to the Prescott Badgers 54-48. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Badgers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Uriah Tenette was his usual excellent self, putting up 34 points and seven boards for Prescott. Tenette is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last 54 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Coley Fundalewicz, who posted five points.
ALA - Gilbert North's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Prescott, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
ALA - Gilbert North will square off against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully ALA - Gilbert North likes a good challenge.
