Softball Recap: Nokomis Gets the Win

While Nokomis's win against Hall-Dale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Nokomis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Hall-Dale fell to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Nokomis will challenge Belfast at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Hall-Dale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Abram at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
