Softball Recap: Pine Forest Comes Up Short

Pine Forest came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mary Brockett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Pine Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Pine Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against Pensacola Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will take on Snook Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Conquerors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
