Shaler Area proved they can win big  last Wednesday (they won by seven) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the West Allegheny Indians  4-3. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the   5-0 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2024.
Shaler Area got a great performance from  Dante Deleonibus as he  struck out nine batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 At the plate, Shaler Area's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Joey Rispoli, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-6.  Logan Johnson also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Shaler Area is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for West Allegheny, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
Shaler Area will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
