Preview: Furr Brahmans vs. Worthing Colts
Furr is 5-0 against Worthing since October of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Furr Brahmans will be playing at home against the Worthing Colts at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
After only seven points in their last match, Furr made sure to put some points up on the board against Washington on Thursday. Furr breezed by Washington on the road to the tune of 48-7.
Darrius Garland had an outrageously good game as he threw for 179 yards and four touchdowns on only eight passes, and also rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown. Avery Lazard was another key contributor, picking up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Worthing had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past North Forest, posting a 41-8 win on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-8.
Their wins bumped Furr to 4-3 and Worthing to 5-2.
Furr beat Worthing 27-18 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Does Furr have another victory up their sleeve, or will Worthing turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
