Newton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Hutchinson Salthawks. This was a revenge game for the Railroaders: when they faced off against the Salthawks on Tuesday, they had to take a 12-2 loss.

Newton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-16. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hutchinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Salthawks beat Newton by a score of 12-2 later that day.
