Basketball Recap: North Charleston Wins Going Away Against Fairfield Central

North Charleston's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They ended the year with a bang, routing the Fairfield Central Griffins 45-22.

Richard Hazel III was his usual excellent self, putting up 13 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raymond Middleton, who posted seven points.

North Charleston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Fairfield Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Thomas Johnson, who had six points.

North Charleston's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Fairfield Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

North Charleston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 38-36 victory against James Island on the 3rd. As for Fairfield Central, they will head out to take on Newberry at 8:00 p.m. on January 8th.
