Baseball Recap: Seven Lakes Gets the Win

Seven Lakes hadn't done well against Tompkins recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spartans came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Andre Avila was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jace Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Seven Lakes' win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Tompkins, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 19-7 record.

Seven Lakes will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
