Softball Game Preview: Washington County Bulldogs vs. Millry Wildcats

Washington County is 2-8 against Millry since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Washington County Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Millry Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Washington County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Washington County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Fruitdale by a score of 6-3. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

Rylee Snow was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Bella Turner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Millry fell victim to Leroy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 12-0. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

The victory got Washington County back to even at 8-8. As for Millry, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-1.
