Baseball Recap: Wortham Takes a Loss

Wortham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the Cayuga Wildcats. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 26-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wortham's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cayuga, their record now sits at 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wortham will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kerens at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Cayuga, they will head out to challenge Frost at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cayuga is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
