Basketball Recap: Rickevia Sherfield's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bolton over Fayette Ware

Bolton lost against Fayette Ware last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bolton Wildcats lost 49-23 to the Fayette Ware Wildcats. Bolton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bolton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rickevia Sherfield, who posted nine points. I'Mari Pointer was another key player, putting up eight points.

It was another big night for Ke'Miyah Buggs, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards for Fayette Ware. Buggs' evening made it 22 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Morgan Crutcher, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten steals.

Bolton now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Fayette Ware, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Bolton will challenge Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolton is facing Hamilton at the right time seeing as Hamilton is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Fayette Ware, they will head out on the road to take on Haywood at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
