Baseball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Robstown Cottonpickers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cottonpickers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-6 back in March.

King saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braydon Milton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Robstown, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will challenge Calallen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Brahmas' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season. As for Robstown, they will face off against Zapata at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
