Baseball Recap: Archbold Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

While Archbold's victory against Swanton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Streaks won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 6-5. The Blue Streaks haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Archbold pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Swanton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbold will challenge Wauseon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Swanton, they will face off against Maumee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.9, the Panthers 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
