Recap: Souderton Indians vs. Overbrook Panthers
The Souderton Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 55-40 fall against Overbrook. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Souderton has scored all season.
Omar Davis was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five steals for Overbrook. Davis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Kelly, who scored 11 points.
Souderton's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-5. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Overbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Souderton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Overbrook, they will be playing at home against Sankofa Freedom Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
