Basketball Game Preview: Wesley Chapel Wildcats vs. Vanguard Knights

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will face off against the Vanguard Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wesley Chapel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Vanguard likes a good challenge.

Wesley Chapel heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fivay.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Ethan Hicks and Dominick Walsh. Walsh had a great game and went 10 for 17 to rack up 26 points along with seven assists and seven boards. Meanwhile, Hicks did his best for the losing side, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Vanguard came up short against Lecanto on Wednesday and fell 65-53.

Wesley Chapel's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Vanguard, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.
