Basketball Recap: Puxico Comes Up Short

Puxico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-22 loss at the hands of the Woodland Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 509th, while the Cardinals are ranked 163rd).

Puxico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Woodland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Puxico didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-40 victory against Meadow Heights on the 28th. Woodland has also already played their next match (against St. Vincent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
