Softball Game Preview: Knippa Crushers vs. Leakey Eagles

Knippa hasn't had much luck against Leakey recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Crushers will face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Knippa has given up an average of 15.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Knippa is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Saturday. They lost 15-0 to D'Hanis.

Knippa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Packer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Leakey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of D'Hanis.

Knippa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Leakey, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Knippa has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Leakey struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Knippa suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Leakey in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Crushers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
