Basketball Recap: Nick Charbonneau's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Momence over Beecher

Momence lost against Beecher back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Momence Momence Athletics fell to the Beecher Bobcats 65-59. The Momence Athletics have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Momence lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nick Charbonneau, who went 8 of 13 en route to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Castillo, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 18 points.

Momence's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Beecher, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

When Momence and Beecher next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Momence will square off against St. Anne and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Beecher will try to stop Clifton Central's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
