Basketball Recap: Knoxville Catholic Skates Past Girls Prep with Ease

Knoxville Catholic posted their biggest win since December 28, 2024 on Thursday. They breezed past the Girls Prep Bruisers to the tune of 62-33. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-37 last Tuesday.

Knoxville Catholic had a senior duo take command as Tinsley Walker went 6-for-11 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals and Ensley Perry went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points along with seven boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Perry is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Sydney English was another key player, putting up seven points.

The victory was the third in a row for Knoxville Catholic, bringing their record for this year to 17-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Girls Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Knoxville Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 87-23 defeat against Bradley Central on the 14th. Girls Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
