Basketball Recap: Port St. Lucie Comes Up Short

After soaring to 65 points the game before, Port St. Lucie was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They were beaten by the Harmony Longhorns 63-29. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 102nd).

Port St. Lucie's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Desgrottes, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Graham, who put up three points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Port St. Lucie and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Harmony, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Port St. Lucie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-60 victory against Lake Mary on the 27th. As for Harmony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-43 win against South Dade on the 27th.
