Basketball Recap: Pisgah Skates Past Tuscola with Ease

Pisgah had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Tuscola on Thursday. The Pisgah Bears breezed by the Tuscola Mountaineers to the tune of 72-45. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Pisgah was led to victory by Mason Putnam and Dominick Messer. Putnam went 9 for 14 on his way to 21 points and five boards, while Messer dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kampbell Kruk also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first rebounds of the season.

Pisgah was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tuscola only posted five assists.

Despite the loss, Tuscola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ace Rogers posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Ferguson, who had 11 points.

Pisgah's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Tuscola, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Pisgah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-48 loss against East Henderson on the 14th. As for Tuscola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 84-80 defeat against Smoky Mountain on the 14th.
