Basketball Recap: Don Bosco Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Don Bosco Cristo Rey suffered their biggest defeat since November 25, 2024 on Monday. They were beaten by the Berman Hebrew Academy Cougars 84-52. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-21.

Several Wolfpack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Marshall, who posted 18 points. Marshall is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Matthews, who had 15 points.

Elijah Teitelbaum continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Berman Hebrew Academy, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Teitelbaum a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ariel Hasan, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Don Bosco Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Berman Hebrew Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-5.
