Preview: St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks vs. Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains
The St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for St. Joseph Central Catholic, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-37 loss to Gibsonburg. While losing is never fun, St. Joseph Central Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 669th, while Gibsonburg is ranked 146th).
Meanwhile, Hopewell-Loudon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 45-41 to New Riegel. Hopewell-Loudon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Joseph Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
St. Joseph Central Catholic took a serious blow against Hopewell-Loudon when the teams last played back in January of 2021, falling 69-33. Can St. Joseph Central Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
