Baseball Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly lost against Paloma Valley last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lucas Burton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Parker Crocker also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Paloma Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Poly will face off against Lakeside at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Paloma Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Liberty at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
