Soccer Recap: El Segundo Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, El Segundo couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lindsay Cardinals who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Lindsay Cardinals got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the El Segundo Eagles' two. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

El Segundo's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Lindsay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-1 record this season.

El Segundo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lindsay, they will challenge Bishop Amat at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Bishop Amat sitting on 21 straight victories and Lindsay on 15.
