Minarets is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Roosevelt.

Pacific Grove came out on top against Skyline on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Breakers were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Titans. The result was nothing new for the Breakers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Brody Edmonds was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Betinho Zunguze, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Pacific Grove lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Pacific Grove's victory bumped their record up to 19-12-1. As for Minarets, their win bumped their record up to 26-8-1.
Minarets' speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's matchup. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game.
