Basketball Preview: Immanuel Christian Crusaders vs. Lee Vining Tigers
Immanuel Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Lee Vining Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Immanuel Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
Immanuel Christian can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game. They blew past Owens Valley 63-27 at home. Immanuel Christian pushed the score to 54-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cubs had no chance of recovering from.
Immanuel Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izaiah Galvez, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that Galvez scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Mathew Guevara, who scored eight points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Lee Vining ended up a good deal behind the Warriors on Tuesday and lost 43-29. Lee Vining has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Immanuel Christian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Lee Vining, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Immanuel Christian against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 51-20 win. With Immanuel Christian ahead 30-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.
