Basketball Recap: Twin Valley Takes a Loss

Twin Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tazewell Bulldogs. The Panthers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in January of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 58-35 score last time.

Twin Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Tazewell, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-16.

Looking ahead, Twin Valley and Castlewood will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Tazewell, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Richlands at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tazewell is facing Richlands at the right time seeing as Richlands is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
