Softball Recap: Floresville Triumphs

Floresville's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pearsall Mavericks by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Tigers/Jaguars: when they faced off against the Mavericks back in March, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Ava Cardenas, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

Floresville's victory bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Pearsall, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10-1.

Coincidentally, Floresville and Pearsall will both be playing Uvalde the next time they take the field. The Mavericks will host the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers/Jaguars will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
