Softball Recap: Ayer Shirley Takes a Loss

Ayer Shirley lost against West Boylston back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 7-4 to the Lions. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ayer Shirley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiley Hoeske, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That double was Hoeske's first of the season. Abbey Hoeske was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Ayer Shirley now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for West Boylston, their record is now 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ayer Shirley will square off against Oakmont Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for West Boylston, they will take on Millbury at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
