Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clovis West walked away with it. They skirted past the San Luis Obispo Tigers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Golden Eagles: when they faced off against the Tigers back in September, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Clovis West took San Luis Obispo into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-27, 21-25, 15-12.

Brooklyn Lopez paced Clovis West's offense, picking up 17 kills. Lopez got some help from Eve Dixon and her 38 assists. Layla Soares controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The win made it two in a row for Clovis West and bumps their season record up to 27-12. As for San Luis Obispo, their loss ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-6.

Coincidentally, Clovis West and San Luis Obispo will both be playing Buchanan the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
