Baseball Recap: Manitou Springs Mustangs vs. The Academy Wildcats        
        
		
            
 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Manitou Springs had no problem doing just that  on Saturday. They never let The Academy Wildcats onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. Manitou Springs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 12 matchups by seven  runs or more this season.
  Nate Gentzel made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit over five innings pitched. Gentzel has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Gentzel was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Preston Rhodes, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.  Canon Feist was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 The  win (which was Manitou Springs' tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-4-1. As for The Academy, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-11.
 Manitou Springs will take on Forge Christian at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Manitou Springs knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Forge Christian likes a good challenge. The Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
