Basketball Recap: Carlisle Takes a Loss

If Carlisle was feeling good fresh off their 60-33 takedown of Cumberland Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Carlisle Thundering Herd fell just short of the Central Dauphin Rams by a score of 35-33 on Friday. The match marked the Thundering Herd's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Dauphin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wayne Fletcher II, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and four steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Fletcher II has scored at least a third of Central Dauphin's points. Another player making a difference was Jelani Easter, who had ten points.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Central Dauphin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Carlisle will square off against Downingtown West at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Downingtown West will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Carlisle surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central Dauphin, they and Reading will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
