League recap: Suchar races to league-leading run for Northern Cambria

Northern Cambria's Dartagnan Suchar recorded the longest rushing play in Heritage this season in his game against United last week. Suchar scampered for 97 yards on the play and finished with 114 on the day as his team beat the Lions.

Scott Fennell and Jordan Jones provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Blairsville. The connection was good for 62 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.

The Bobcats' dynamic duo of Scott Thompson and Deion Robinson proved to be unstoppable against Ligonier Valley, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Thompson threw for 241 yards and Robinson had 86 yards receiving. Cameron Livingston helped Blairsville's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 73 yards.

Blairsville's dynamic duo of Thompson and Robinson proved tough for the Rams to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Louie Tate was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 177 yards as Penns Manor fell to Ligonier Valley. Lucas Kowalski also contributed to the rushing game with 131 yards on the ground.

Robinson was the best receiver in Heritage this week as the Bobcats fell to Roger Beitel's team.

Thompson put up the best numbers in passing as Blairsville fell to the Rams.

6-foot-2 quarterback Thompson of the Bobcats is the league leader in passing yards this season with 557. He has also thrown 2 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Alec Bloom. The Ligonier Valley star has 13 catches for 211 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Homer-Center takes on Purchase Line. The Wildcats are in third place, while the Red Dragons are in fifth place.

Purchase Line moved up to 449 from 525 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Brandon Overdorff's team was able to make move up by besting Blacklick Valley 42-14.
