Pottsville hasn't had much luck against North Schuylkill recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Crimson Tide will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Pottsville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Jes Siminitus was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, North Schuylkill entered their tilt with Our Lady of Lourdes Regional on Friday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Red Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Olivia Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, Monica Selgrade was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brigid Flynn, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI.
North Schuylkill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of Lourdes Regional only posted a batting average of .160.
North Schuylkill's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pottsville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
