The Dilley Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They lost to Lytle at home by a decisive 75-60 margin. While losing is never fun, Dilley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1509th, while the Pirates are ranked 626th).
Jacob Lopez and Dorian Aranda certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lopez scored 23 points along with four steals, while Aranda dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Hernandez, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Zacharee Perez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lytle, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Perez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Perez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
