The Liberty Minutemen and the Central Wise Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Liberty Minutemen had to settle for second. They were dealt a 72-42 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Liberty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Central Wise is ranked 15th).

Despite the loss, Liberty had strong showings from Brianna Adams, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Shania Brown, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Brown is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Cierra St. John was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists.
